77th Republic Day Celebration – 2025

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated at our Ashrama premises on Monday, 26th January 2026, from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM.


The program commenced with the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest, Sri Ajay Verma, Mayor, Nagar Nigam Almora, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

Students from GIC Lodhia, SSJ University, Almora, and the Vivekananda Study Circle presented patriotic songs and speeches, adding to the spirit of the occasion. Students and other dignitaries delivered speeches on various aspects.

About 50 school and college students attended the programme.

The program concluded with the distribution of refreshments to all attendees.

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at our Ashrama premises on Sunday, 26th January 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.


The program commenced with the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest, Sri Prakash Singh Khatri, District Tourism Development Officer, Almora, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

Students from GIC Lodhia, SSJ University, Almora, and the Vivekananda Study Circle presented patriotic songs and speeches, adding to the spirit of the occasion. A map showcasing the places blessed by the footprints of Swami Vivekananda in and around Almora was also unveiled during the event.


Also in attendance was Dr. Chandra Prakash Fuloriya, Director of the Swami Vivekananda Spiritual Circuit Study Centre and Museum Incharge, Department of History, SSJ University, Almora.

The program concluded with the distribution of refreshments to all attendees.

    • - Performance of Deshbhakti Geeti by Nazeem Ali, great grandson of Zulfikar Ali
    • - Rendition of Saare Jahan Se Achha by Sriman Mohit Aswal, a resident student of the Ashrama
    • - Chorus recital of Swadesh Mantra by all gathered

The 75th Republic Day was celebrated at Ramakrishna Kutir on Friday, 26th January, 2024 at the Vivekananda Corner. Sri Deepak Singh, IFS, DFO, Almora- the chief guest on the occasion inaugurated the programme by Unfurling the Flag. The monastic members and other dignitaries sung the National Anthem.


Students of GIC Lodhia sang patriotic songs & delivered speeches on various aspects of our country and Indian constitution. Sriman Rajesh Giri - a resident M.A. student at Ramakrishna Kutir also delivered an invigorating speech on Swamiji's ideas of 'Nation Building' followed by the recitation of Swamiji's Swadesh mantra in chorus.
