The National Youth Day was celebrated at Shivananda Hall, Almora. The Chief Guest, Sri Devendra Pincha, SSP Almora inaugurated the programme by garlanding Swami Vivekananda's statue. Monastic members chanted Vedic hymns and offered flowers at Swamiji's feet.
Students and other dignitaries delivered speeches on various aspects of Swamiji's life and teachings, focusing on his inspiration for the youth. SSP Almora in his speech encouraged the students to imbibe Swamiji’s principles in their daily lives.
Students from Govt. Inter College, Lodhia, SSJ University, Almora & Vivekananda Study Circle presented a cultural programme themed on Swami Vivekananda. About 50 school & college students and 300 others participated in the event.
