Ramakrishna Kutir provides free of charge accommodation, food & study materials to the under-privileged graduation & post-graduation students coming from the remote hilly regions of Uttarakhand. Currently we have four such students.

These students receive training in gardening, music, public speaking and many such activities to develop their personality and character. The Ashrama provides a holistic environment with value education to enable the students to become valued citizens of India.

A new students' home named 'Vivekananda Bhawan' was inaugurated on 19 Nov 2025

Competitions are held across schools and colleges in Almora on essay writing, art, public speaking, singing and so on to promote the ideas of character and nation building based on the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda and Ma Sarada.

Youth conventions, Personality development seminars and motivational lectures are organized for school and college going students on topics of self-management, spirit of Swami Vivekananda and so on. Distinguished monastic members from the Ramakrishna Order and other accomplished speakers are invited to deliver lectures on these occasions.

Youth Study Circles are held every Sunday, alternating between Shivananda Hall and Turiyananda Taposthali. The discussions cover a wide range of subjects, including the lives and teachings of Swami Vivekananda and Swami Turiyananda, the Bhagavad Gita, hymns and stotras, and other themes that foster character development and contribute to nation-building.
