Please note the following instructions for guests:
- We have a limited number of rooms. Hence, it is advisable to email us well-in advance.
- The Ashrama is situated on the steep slope of a hill and the movements involve physical strain. The temple, guest house, dining hall & the main road are all located at different levels and require one to climb many stairs. Kindly take note of this while applying for guest house.
- Children below 5 yrs. & ailing people are not allowed. Those who might need a walking stick in the hills, must carry it with them.
- Our Ashrama is only meant for devotees and admirers who are respectful to Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Ma & Swami Vivekananda. It is a place for spiritual retreat.
- We generally allow accommodation minimum for 2 nights.
Please note that our guest house has limited facilities with simple vegetarian food and lodging.
- We request our guests to strictly abide by the Ashrama / Guest House rules and timings.
Please note that smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited in the Ashrama guesthouse and premises.
- It is mandatory to- i) reach here before evening for your own security and ii) attend the evening Arati & prayer, during your day(s) of stay. No one should go out of the campus after sunset.

Visitors coming to Almora can also visit Mayavati and Shyamala Tal centers. For booking rooms at Shyamla Tal, they have to email at shyamalatal@rkmm.org and for Mayavati, they need to Apply through their website - Guest House Mayavati - Advaita Ashrama. As Mayavati is between Shymala Tal and Almora, you can first visit Almora, then Mayavati and Shyamla-Tal, or vice versa.
